Meet the Staff

Walter Sabolboro, D.D.S.

I have been proudly practicing dentistry in my hometown of Queens for more than a decade. I was born in Manhattan and my family moved to Queens when I was 2. I was inspired by 6 years of braces (yes, 6!) to become a dentist. Since becoming a dentist I’ve been inspired by the most world renowned clinicians and teachers to be the best dentist I could be.

I graduated Magna Cum Laude in Chemistry from Hunter College in 1999. I went on the School of Dental Medicine at University at Buffalo and graduated in 2004. Shortly after, I took over a 25 year established dental practice which is known today as Forest Park Dental.

I love the ability to help people with my science and art. I’m very fortunate that I am involved in a profession that is always advancing and striving hard to deliver the best results through research and technology.

In my personal time I enjoy working on the board for the Glendale Kiwanis, playing music, exercising and spending time with my family.

Johanna Zapata – Head Assistant

Johanna has been working along side Dr. Sabolboro since the beginnings of 2011. She was bon in the Dominican Republic and moved to New York in 2008.
Dentistry is her passion, and throughout the years, she has had opportunities to grow personally and professionally, expand her knowledge and take pride in being part of a wonderful team at Forest Park Dental. Being in the field since 2002, Johanna has developed a greater desire to help patients in all aspects of dentistry and strive for growth. In her free time, she likes to spend quality time with her family and travel.

Maria Faraci – RDH

Maria Faraci is Forest Park Dental’s periodontal co-therapist. She works together with Dr. Walter Sabolboro in maintaining the optimal oral health of the patients. A graduate of Farmingdale State University, she is a Registered Dental Hygienist and is licensed in the State of New York. She is also a member of the American Dental Hygienists’ Association. Working in the dental field for over 15 years, Maria continues to take pride in her profession. Maria is a meticulous, dedicated and skillful clinician. Her goal is to educate her patients in improving their oral health, thus contributing to the well being of their general health.

In her spare time she enjoys dancing Zumba and spending time with her husband and family.

Lina Badillo – RDH

Lina has been a Periodontal CoTherapist with Forest Park Dental for over 3 years. She is a graduate of Farmingdale State College and is licensed in New York State. Lina has been involved in the dental field proudly for over 14 years and has completed many rotations specializing in pediatric, geriatric, and special needs dentistry. She enjoys educating on dental health and establishing trusting relationships with each patient encounter.

On her free time, she enjoys painting and spending time with her family in Long Island.

Arbesa Liko – Patient Care Coordinator

Arbesa is one of the first friendly faces you will meet when you visit our office. She has been working at the front desk at Forest Park Dental since February of 2014. She helps patients by coordinating and scheduling appointments, understand treatment plans along with financial arrangements. She has worked in the dental field for over 3 years now, constantly attending dental courses and seminars. Arbesa is enthusiastic to meet all patients and takes pride in creating a warm and friendly environment.

In her free time she enjoys reading, watching soccer, traveling with her husband and working out.

Johanna Bernabe – Insurance Coordinator

Johanna has lived in NY since 1983 and is originally from Dominican Republic. Johanna has worked in the health administrative field for over 20 years. As the Insurance Coordinator she ensures that the patient’s plans are up to date, claims processed accurately and benefits are coordinated properly. In her spare time she enjoys spending time with her husband and three wonderful children.

Diahony Ayala – Dental Assistant

Diahony Ayala is the latest addition to the Forest Park Dental team. Born and raised in Brooklyn, NY, she has been in the dental field as n assistant for 3 years. Her passion for dentistry has been growing ever since and she is eager to expand her knowledge. With an optimistic personality, she makes it a propriety to put a smile on patients and put them at ease during their time at Forest Park Dental.
On her free time, she enjoys bullet journaling and spending time with her family.

Salina Akther – Dental Hygienist

Salina received her extensive training from the New York City College of Technology, one of the highly ranked hygiene programs in the country. Her favorite part of being a hygienist is seeing her patient’s oral health improve, ensuring her patients are happy and comfortable. Her passion stems from her desire to help patients achieve optimal oral health. In her spare time, she enjoying spending quality time with her family.

Nafeezah Mohamed – Sr. Patient Coordinator

Nafeezah has worked in the dental field both as an assistant and receptionist for over 11 years. She is dedicated, hard-working and multitasks. Nafeezah is passionate about what she does and is welcoming, helpful and accommodating to the patients.
In addition to dedicating her time at FPD, she enjoys creating memories with her husband and three children, arts & crafts, and serving as a Missionary for her church.
